These diminutive menaces of wildspace resemble pallid-white, glistining sea slugs of up to three feet in length. They swarm over ships, chewing up wooden or bone hulls and attacking deck crew.
Combat Spaceworms attack in packs, darting this way and that to overwhelm foes. A space worm eats furrows in flesh, wood and plant matter alike, gouging along the surface with its razor-sharp teeth.
Attach (Ex): If a spaceworm hits with its bite attack, it latches onto the opponent's body and begins to furrow. An attached spaceworm has an AC of 12.
Augmented Criticals (Ex): A spaceworm threatens a critical hit on a natural attack roll of 1920, dealing triple damage on a successful critical hit.
Eyebite (Ex): On a successful critical hit a spaceworm tries to gorge the eyes of an opponent. Those who are hit by such an attack can make Reflex save DC 15 avoid the horrid fate of losing one's eyes. The effect of a successful Reflex save is that the victim has shielded his eyes and the spaceworm gorges away another part of the victims body.
Furrow (Ex): A spaceworm that has successfully biten an opponent begins to furrow. Furrowing causes 1 point of strength and constitution drain and 1d34 hit points of damage. Once it has drained 2 points of strength and constitution, it detaches and flies off to digest the meal.
Immunities (Ex): Spaceworms are immune to effects of poison and diseases.
In the Spheres A spaceworm's life is simple they just cruise to they find something to eat, devour it and resume cruising for another meal. They are particularly fond of eating eyes. Entire crews blinded by spaceworms have been found wandering despairingly in wildspace, with no idea of where they are or are heading.
About 50% of the time a ship encounters a group of spaceworms that has recently fed and are not hungry and therefore will not attack the ship or crew. It at these moments a few spaceworms will come to rest on the ship or other solid object, darken, and die. Amid the melting pool of wrinkled skin and spreading slime, treasure it may be found. This is seen as a good omen by the crew.

Notes on this Conversion: The spaceworm is, despite its low hit dice, a CR 1 encounter with 2 HD spaceworms being a CR 2. I used as a template a combination of stirge and tiny viper to get close to the spaceworm abilities.
