Sun dragons are one of the most benevolent and freedom loving of all dragons. The enjoy life to the fullest and show love to all sentient creatures they encounter, those who come accross the sun dragons often describe them as playful. They are the lest covetous of all dragons, sometimes they are found giving money to charity.
The small scales of the wyrmling are fiery red; as juveniles, burnt orange; as mature adult, brilliant yellow; when ancient, bluish white. Finally, when a sun dragon becomes a great wyrm, it shrinks back down to tiny size and turns a flat white color. Some people confuse these sun dragons for very young moon dragons, at much risk to their health.
Sun dragons lair in caverns on a fiery celestail bodies where they live and play. Most of these caverns they created themselves by scooping out the fiery matter of the fire body. It is in these caverns that they store what treasures they have and lay thier clutch of eggs.
Sun dragons are omnivores and will eat nearly anything except intelligent creatures, for they respect life.

Combat: Sun dragons have little interst in combat for the sake of combat and since few visit the hot surface of the fiery celestial bodies which they call home. When they do enter into combat it is found that few of the sun dragons have feats that take advantage of thier size, this is due to the fact they are one of the smallest dragons and when they reach great wyrm they would lose any advantage with taking such feats. They do play with thier opponents like a cat would a mouse. Knocking an opponent to the ground is one of thier favorite tactics (they can be found to have expertice and improved trip feats).

In the Spheres
Sun dragons have little interest beyound the natural gravity and sky of thier fiery celestial body. Yet some of the younger sun dragons upon leaving its parents cavern will explorer the reaches of wildspace to see what is out thier. When their curiosity is sated they then either return to the fiery celestial body form which they where given birth or find a new one. It then will carve out its own cavern.

Original Source: Monstrous Compendium #9

Notes on this Conversion: I wanted to stay true to the original sun dragon as such I created the lozenge breath weapon effect. Also of note is that some of the original dragons where given additional Other Spell-Like Abilitits such as the white dragons wall of ice and control weather and felt it would not unbalace the Sun Dragon to give it the sunburst and prismatic sphere each once per day.
