Bodies
BlackSea
AKA: WaterPole
Size E, Irregular Water Body. 2300 million mile orbit.
Main Population: Sahaughin, Humans, Troglodytes, Aboleth, Locathah, Morkoth, Giant Octopi, Zaratan, Psionic Dolphins
Est. Population: 2 Million
Resources: Fish, Zaratan Shells
Commerce: Fishing, Zaratanian Armada Construction
Military: Light Order Fleet, Locanthah Turtleships
Cycle: 500 days
A hollow cylinder of water, this supports several Zaratan colonies, including a pair of breeding Zarati, whom a brothel omplex has been built on the collective back of. Dead Zaratan corpses are brought up by the Locanthah, and sold to various individuals (including several admirals of the Order) for ship construction. Furthermore, several colonies of giant turtles, suited for perfect size as turtle ship hulls by the Locanthah. It is speculated this is the true home of the gammaroid, and that the reason there is a hole in the middle of the cylinder is that when the gammaroids left, a large amount of the water body went with them - more than what stayed. It is also theorised that the body was once spherical, and that the gamaroids all left in one direction, causing the cylindrical effect.
The Dead Reef
AKA: Sailor's Coffin
Size B, Irregular Deadworld.
Parent Body: BlackSea
Main Population: None
Est. Population: 0
Resources: Ancient Riches
Commerce: Pirate Treasure Hunting
Military: None
Cycle: 20 Hours
This is a donut shaped reef, likely proof that the body was once circular. It orbits incredibly erratically, sometimes dipping sections, or even more rarely itself entirely, into the waters below. It is rumoured to have ancient riches of the rich and highly magical Locanthah civilisation said to live on the water body before the exodus of the gammaroids. This exodus is not even close to being proven, let alone the riches said to be upon the reef of dead coral, but neither stops both sages, and pirates, from attempting to plunder it's secrets.
Orb
AKA: Orbb
Size A, Spherical Earth Body.
Parent Body: BlackSea
Main Population: None
Est. Population: 0
Resources: None
Commerce: Umber Hulk Slaves
Military: Light Drow Fleet
Cycle: 30 days
Four times a month this moon dips it's lower end into not only the air envelope of the BlackSea, but also it's waters. It has possibly the most illogical orbit of any body in space, as it then continues on, along a perfectly spherical orbit. Drow and Umber Hulks (including Vodanyoi) make this moon their home - the Drow because they simply do not care about the regular change in gravity (it keeps others out), and the Umber Hulks because they have no other choice. Occasional Aboleths rule also, content in their caverns filled with water from the "Dippings". Water frequently shifts within the moon, due to gravity, making it difficult for the aboleths to make a continuous home. Dipping in takes an hour, and the lower half of the moon remains underwater for some 10 hours, taking another two to leave. This keeps the water supply fresh, and allows some trading between the Aboleth and Locanthah, mainly of drow items or Umber Hulk shells for food. The moon was named by Drow, but most humans do not know this.
The Web
AKA: Lloth's Vassal
Size A, Irregular Earth Body.
Parent Body: BlackSea
Main Population: None
Est. Population: 0
Resources: Adamantium
Commerce: None
Military: Light Drow Fleet (Shared with Elamshin D'lil Yorn)
Cycle: 300 days
A lattice patterened earth body, this is the only source of Drow Adamantium within the sphere. Due to the web-like structure of the metal veins, the Drow believe the "moon" to be a blessed gift from Lloth, and savagely attack anyone approaching. They have a base orbiting the moon itself, made wholly of adamantium, detailed seperately. The waste dirt and rocks from the mining is ususally left there, but sometimes it drifts into the gravity plane and falls off, sometimes to the water below. Currently, there is a large piece, almost a thousand miles across, seperated from the main body by pure accident. It is drifting towards the edge, and it has been calculated that it will indeed fall onto the world below, likely hitting a Zaratan (as calculated by the Drow). Unfortunately for the Zaratan and it's pirate population, the Drow just cannot seem to care. Very few non drow in the sphere know of the adamantite in this body.
Elamshin D'lil Yorn
AKA: None
Size A, Orbital Station.
Parent Body: The Web
Main Population: Drow
Est. Population: 2,500
Resources: None
Commerce: None
Military: Light Drow Fleet
Cycle:
This is the pure black, adamantium constructed drow mining base orbiting The Web. Named "The Servants of Lloth" in Drow, it contains several groups of miners, running 16 hour shifts. Each shift contains some 100 males, all standard drow, and up to 12 priestess'. They use Arabani Wolf Spider ships, and are affiliated with that Drow house, but are not a part of it. They are the only Drow power in the sphere not under Arabani control, and their nation includes the Drow on the Orbb.
Kanoxx
AKA: Hunter's Paradise
Size D, Spherical Earth body. 2500 million mile orbit.
Main Population: Non-civillised monsters of all kinds from most worlds, with a main civilisation of Crocodillians ("The Lizard Folk", Dragon Magazine issue 268)and other lizard men.
Est. Population: 500,000
Resources: Trees, Air, Monsters
Commerce: Safari's, Lumber & Arborial, Crocodillian Mercenaries
Military: Medium Crocodillian Fleet
Cycle: 10 days
A jungle world, constantly at a temperature of between 40 and 60 degrees celsius, Kanoxx is the most respected, feared, and bloodthirsty planet in the sphere. It's large pyramids are made of almost indestructable stone, and are dominated with relics of the ancient god Set. There are a few sparse colonies of Iguanids and other peaceful lizardmen, including some primitive, uncivilised groups of hurwaeti, but it's main claim to fame is it's immense monster per square mile ratio. Hunters from across the spheres ply their trade here. It is also a good source for lumber in the sphere, as the cheap Crocodillian labour provides almost sweatshop prices.
Kanoxx'Ulga
AKA: Hunter's View
Size A, Flat Earth Body.
Parent Body: Kanoxx
Main Population: Crocodillians, Humans
Est. Population: 50,000
Resources: None
Commerce: Hunting Club, Some Trade
Military: None
Cycle: 10 days
This barren moon presents a perfect place for the home of the Ragespace Hunter's Guild. Each standard month they provide a 500 gp prize to the best kill (based upon hit dice), and once every six months they have a competition with a grand prize of ten thousand gold. Entry costs 50 gold pieces, but members of the club, whom must attend each month's hunt but only need pay a 25 gp/year membership fee, may enter for free. All humanoids races are represented here, excepting the Arcane and similar civillisations.
Kanoxx'Feha
AKA: Hunter's Prize
Size E, Spherical Earth body.
Parent Body: Kanoxx
Main Population: Variable
Est. Population: 10,000
Resources: None
Commerce: Gladiatorial, Arena Combat
Military: Variable
Cycle: 40 days
This moon is actually not much more than a few sparse villages of various races. It is given to the current great champion of the Kanoxx hunts, a challenge given only to those whom have won two of the six month grand prizes, the winner decided by the greatest kill again - but this kill, and all others accepted without penalty must be at least 5 times the hit dice of the hunter. Once won, they are free to impose whatever taxes and laws they wish, but must keep open the gladiatorial arena kept here, the profits going to the organisers of the hunters - the Crocodillians of Set. Failure to return from such a hunt without a kill of at least equal hit dice results in execution - so many simply do not return at all.
Kanoxx'Nabuo
AKA: Hunter's merchant
Size A, Spherical Earth Body.
Parent Body: Kanoxx
Main Population: Dohwar, Tinker Gnomes, Goblins
Est. Population: 5,000
Resources: Inventions (Tinker Gnomes & Goblinoid)
Commerce: Mercantile of all kinds, but mainly junk and weaponry
Military: Light Dohwar Fleet
Cycle: 30 days
This even smaller moon is maintained by the Dohwar. They collect junk from all over the sphere, bringing it here or hurling it into the Kanoxx'Blaze. Tinker gnomes and Goblins round out the population, constantly digging through the trash and making idiotic inventions. A tribe of wererats preys upon the three races of small folk, and the winged pigs the Dohwar breed, but is kept in check by the many Hunters whom come here to resupply. Prices are high, quality is low - but it's better than anything designer by, or more importantly for, Crocodillians.
Kanoxx'Blaze
AKA: Hunter's Warmth
Size A, Spherical Fire Body.
Parent Body: Kanoxx
Main Population: Standard as normal fire bodies
Est. Population: 10,000
Resources: Heat, Light
Commerce: None
Military: Simple Racial
Cycle: 24 hours
A comet trapped into Kanoxx's orbit, this is the actual cause of the intense heat on the planet - and the fall of the once great and peaceful civilisations eons ago, to the crocodillians. It has a beautifully long tail, and is a unique sight among the sphere. It is used for trash incineration by the Dohwar, leaving an occasionally oily cloud in it's wake.
LordMasterBase
AKA: The Neogi's Hole
Size C, Spherical Earth Body. 2850 million mile orbit.
Main Population: Umber Hulks, Neogi
Est. Population: 75,000
Resources: Spiders
Commerce: Spiders (sold to Drow), Slaves
Military: Medium Neogi Coalition Fleet
Cycle: 15,000 days
A cavernous, almost dead world, this planet, long ago pelted by meteorites, serves as a perfectly chaotic home for the spheres Neogi. They exist under a semi-coalition, bringing them together should anyone attempt to invade or attack one of their ships nearby, but generally they commit insane warfare against each other. They have small "potholes" all over the sphere, but this is generally considered their territory. Food here is in the form of spiders, which in turn feed upon neogi and stray umber hulks, not to mention the other natural life found in the caverns, such as bats and giant insects. Mostly, giant spiders are bred, and sold to the Drow in the sphere, especially those whom cannot breed their own en masse - like those upon the House Arabani Citadel.
There is clear evidence that the Neogi's Hole was once a small world, not unlike Kanoxx, but it was incredibly quickly destroyed and shrunk by an intense meteor swarm, supposedly sent by the elven gods in rage against the destruction of their world. Of course, it did not hit the Order's main colony, so this is highly disregarded as true.
