This is a crystal sphere whose inhabitants largely destroyed themselves in a series of cataclasmic conflicts a millenia ago. While there were some survivors, the old civilizations were eradicated. Much of what was left came to be dominated by tanar'ri, undead, and other vile creatures. About eighty years ago, the Invaders showed up, and in short order seized control over much of the sphere, and set about looting the ruins of anything of value. Foolishly, they regard themselves as its sole masters, and are only just beginning to become aware of the other factions here.
In the original version, the Invaders were assumed to be the Vodoni, and Lostspace the Vodoni controlled sphere of the same name. However, the Invaders could just as easily be Scro (perhaps backed up by the Long Fangs or Tenth Pit) or some other race of conquerors.
This sphere is a point of origin for humans in other crystal spheres; the ancestors of the Vergon, the Vodoni, and others all originally came from this sphere.
