The Flick -- The Sphere Wall -- The Starless Stretch

THE FLICK:

This is a bizarre vortex capable of transporting ships halfway across the sphere in the blink of an eye. One end of the Flick is at Gologotha, orbiting that battered world at the trailing trojan point of the Haze. The other end can be almost anywhere else in the sphere; most often out past the orbit of Rime.

It is widely speculated that the Flick is an artificial phenomena, but who created it is unknown.

THE SPHERE WALL:

The stars of Lostspace are huge glowing crystals dozens of yards across, supported by giant statues of the gods, each statue towering hundreds of yards above the edge of the sphere. Each god statue is grouped with others of its pantheon; seen from afar, each collection forms a constellation resembling a sacred artefact or person central to a given faith (an Ankh for the Egyptian gods, a Torc for the Celtic gods, ect). The stars emit considerable heat as well as light; those approaching within 1000 yards without protection risk incineration.

THE STARLESS STRETCH:

This is a huge stretch of the sphere wall devoid of stars; the statues that would normally support them being absent or smashed to rubble. What caused this is unknown; the statues are very nearly indestructable. The starless stretch covers almost a quarter of the spheres interior. The Starless Stretch was first noticed after the Final War.
