AUSHEEL:
This continent is now nothing more than a large shoal, with a few near lifeless scraps of land here and there large enough to be termed `islands'. Prior to the Final War, Ausheel was a large swampy continent dominated by small nations of lizardmen, ruled by an alliance of high priests. Just prior to the wars outbreak, one of these high priests, troubled by a series of visions, embarked on a long quest (visiting Thousand Shrines on Illerine and the Time Caves of Bext, among other places). When he returned, he proclaimed the end was nigh, and that his people must flee in order to save themselves. Ultimately, this resulted in a migration of several thousand lizardmen out of the sphere just before the Final War began.
But even as some of Ausheels denizens were saved, Ausheel itself proved to be a chief doom for the rest of the planet. In the Final Wars last year, a great fragment of the ruined moon fell and struck this continents center, tearing a vast cleft in the surface, sinking most of the continent and shattering the rest. From this cleft issued a great cloud of poison, more than a thousand miles across, which slowly swept across the world, slaying all it encountered.
